Having first played tennis with my dad from about the age of 10, it became one of my passions and seeing many of the greats like Rod Laver playing at Wembley was brilliant! I joined HWLTC when I moved to the area in 1987 and have become very involved in helping to develop the club in every way. I first joined the committee around 2010 and helped to instigate many of the major changes that have evolved. The club is now entering a new stage of development, leading the way for other clubs to follow (if they appreciate what we are doing). Tennis will always be the club's reason for existing, but I firmly believe that the club can offer many additional benefits for the local community such as with the charitable groups that now use the club’s facilities. It is a privilege to help lead our excellent committee and to ensure that the club will go on for another 100 years!
