Coaching for juniors

Children between 5 and 10-years-old can enjoy tennis with this exciting programme from the LTA. With smaller courts, nets, rackets and lower bouncing balls, LTA Mini Tennis offers the perfect introduction to the sport, with all the fun and energy of the real thing.

This is the follow-on group after Mini Tennis Green, playing with the full ball and working on improving their matchplay and tactics. It's a fun, social group for both boys and girls to enjoy a game of tennis whilst staying fit and improving their technique.

Junior Academy is for children wanting to take up the full game after Mini Tennis, playing twice a week and starting to play matches. Senior Academy is for kids (aged 14+) looking for a challenge, playing regularly for/at the club and competing at weekends in competition.

Children will receive a 45minute lesson based around ABCs (agility, balance and c0-ordination skills). These sessions are fun-based and are an introduction into sport for children.

LTA structured program designed to improve players technique and physical attributes. Players use a small court together with equipment that is designed to improve learning.

Mini Orange Tennis is structured the same way as Mini Red Tennis but is played on a 3/4 court with slightly harder tennis balls and racquets.

These sessions are aimed to improve the technical and tactical areas for the children as their development moves to the next stage. Training is on a full size court with green tennis balls that have 25% less pressure than the typical yellow ones.
